Proprietor ALAN HAWKINS has been self-employed since 1970. For twenty years he ran his own hi-fi, tv and amateur radio retail business (Bedford Audio-Comm) and later a hi-fi loudspeaker manufacturing company (SMC Loudspeakers). During that time taught himself to build database systems to organise his own businesses and in 1986 formed Computer Solutions to help his business friends. He became a Sage Accounts dealer in the early days of, the now world famous, accounting software company. In the past Computer Solutions specialised in supplying IT support for small companies and had a large number of loyal customers in the Bedford area.

Alan developed his database knowledge and soon was developing databases to run a large number of companies. Since 2008 Alan has been concentrating on website design and databases design and support.
